My approach draws influence from holistic, cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, and internal family systems.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, I have spent a great deal of time collaborating with clients to cultivate a tailored experience to provide a well-rounded scope for LPC Associates. I'm all for sharing my knowledge and expertise with my associates. In order to achieve this, a wide variety of assessments, scales, modules, and life lessons stay in rotation. Along with having proper communication, concern, & consideration for one another, supervision will be a pleasant relievable moment.

I may draw from IFS, CPT, ERP, ACT, or DBT in our work together.
I'm queer and I specialize in supporting LGBTQ+ and nonmonogamous adults around trauma, family of origin issues, gender affirming care, and anxiety, including OCD. Before therapy, many of my clients think: Being in my head is stressful- there are things I'm afraid of talking about, or even thinking about. My past is still affecting me. Setting boundaries can be really hard. Sometimes I have nightmares or flashbacks of things I've been through. If that sounds like you, I can help. Therapy can be a safe, non-judgmental space to make sense of your experiences and create meaningful change in your life.

With warmth, humor, sincerity, and care, I strive to build a relationship with each of my clients that cultivates empowerment and deep compassion for self. I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, an evidence-based practice that focuses on Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance and Interpersonal Effectiveness.
I'm open to a broad client base but my predominant experience is with first gen college students, pro athletes & their family members. I ran the mental health services for UW athletics and am currently the consulting clinician for the Seattle Mariners and the NHL. I work best with driven people experiencing a big change. Perhaps, despite your best efforts, things aren’t working out as you’d hoped. Or perhaps you’ve gotten all you wanted and it doesn’t satisfy the way you thought it might. Though I often work with athletes I am not a Sports Psych. In fact, I don’t even follow sports! I’m here for the rest of your life and identity.

I have additional training in Telehealth and I'm certified and trained in Emotional Focused Couples Therapy, DBT, CBT and Gestalt.
Life comes at us fast and we’re not always ready for it but that’s okay! I believe that we all crave connection with our peers, friends, family, and partners. And when we aren’t working on those connections, we’re working to build our connection with ourself. To fully work through that and make progress, I use a direct approach in helping clients address concerns that may arise from their connections with others or with themself. I believe that the most progress can be made when it’s accompanied with empathy and unconditional positive regard - two pillars of therapeutic work to foster growth and a sense of safety.

My clinical background is grounded in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and my style is a blend of DBT and person-centered humanistic therapy.
As a licensed mental health counselor, I work primarily with teens and young adults. I love the opportunity to support young people as they grow and overcome challenges in their lives. I believe that you and your family are doing the best you can with the tools you have, and if you’re searching for a therapist, you likely need more support to thrive. I'm especially skilled at working with youth who have experienced trauma or who struggle with anxiety, depression and/or self-harm. As of April 2024, I have some limited availability for in-person services.

I have experience working with various evidence-based therapies: ACT, attachment theory, RO-DBT, MBCT, trauma-informed, IFS, Narrative, and CBT.
When working with clients, I aim to honor stories, identities, and experiences and create a collaborative space where you can show up authentically as yourself. I am empathetic and intentional in getting to know each client and ensuring the space between us feels safe enough for the vulnerable work of therapy. Relationships and our connections drive so much of development over our lifetime, however, the relationship we often work on the least is the one with ourselves. Yet, this just might be the most important one.
