I see individuals and couples for all types of issues; burnout, anxiety, depression, adult diagnosis (or suspicion) of neurodiversity, trauma, relationship issues, identity issues, and more. All of these are great reasons to seek out counseling. Whether you don't know where to start, or you have a specific issue you want to work on, that's okay; we'll figure it out together. So much of therapy is about the relationship between client and therapist. My clients want a space where they feel safe to explore and process their emotions, while looking for solutions to get more in touch with themselves.

Hi - I'm Alyxx. My pronouns are they/she. My ideal client is someone living on the fringes, someone who feels like they have never quite fit in with the thin/white/cis/het esthetic that is so predominant in our culture. If you are ready to do the work to change, I'm ready to walk that path with you!

Many clients come to me feeling sad and lost, often with feelings of low self-worth. Maybe it's been a long time since you've felt seen and heard by the friends, family, or partners most important to you, especially if you're from a marginalized culture or community. It's my belief that you are not broken and you are not the problem. You are a whole person whose relationships are being robbed by the problem. You deserve to find a new way of living that honors your best hopes and truest self. Whether you are a couple, family, or individual, I can help you find your voice so you can live more authentically and with less self-judgment.

I work with individuals who want to make sense of their emotions, heal from trauma, and build authentic relationships with their loved ones. Many of my clients are brave change-makers, the first in their family to break multi-generational patterns. They wonder how to forgive, cast away anger, and move forward while at the same time standing up for themselves and their needs. They want tools for immediate relief, but they want to go beyond managing symptoms. They know that this work is so much bigger than themselves and that they are creating a new legacy for future generations

Are you hoping to better communicate, manage conflict and revamp your connection with your partner? Or are you in the midst of a major life transition? My clients struggle like you. Despite their brilliance, creativity and drive, the pressures of adapting to life's changes or communicating with their partner seem overwhelming. Before my clients came to see me, they figured that it was “too late” to make a change, and their life “is what it is.” They feared that if they took any drastic steps to improve their lives, it would be considered “selfish.” The fear of change, but also the fear of never changing created tension and anxiety.

Are you struggling with overfunctioning, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and burnout? If you invested in time and space to explore, heal, and grow, how might life be different? How might you be different? In the past, you have constantly prioritized others' needs and are now seeing the negative impact on your own mental health. The perfect image you maintain for the outside world comes at the expense of yourself. Internally, you feel numb, insecure, lonely, and lost. You are tired of feeling this way and ready to change this unsustainable pattern once and for all.

Are you healer looking to connect more deeply to your intuition, so you can solve problems and move toward the life of your dreams? Often an area of life that hasn't been working well is due to unconscious thinking, old stories, and habits that are rooted in fear, making it difficult to cue into important signals for change. Fear and the energy it holds can unconsciously play a role in self sabotage and anxiety. Using expressive arts, science of manifesting, spiritual synchronicity and a holistic approach, I can help you develop a new way of seeing and interacting with the world that creates peace and abundance for your future.

Hello! One of my passions is working with women and queer folks re-discovering themselves after traumatic experiences. Maybe you've always known that therapy would be helpful, but it never seemed that urgent... until now. Whatever it was that motivated you to seek help, an anxiety attack, that ongoing depression, a relationship issue, or old memories that still sting - you deserve a supportive and safe place to fully explore your experience. I also enjoy working with queer couples navigating relationship difficulties, and people processing religious trauma.

Hi there! I am a relational and holistic therapist working via telehealth. My clients are generally tired of feeling disconnected from themselves and others. They want to be able to trust themselves and heal from the past. They want hope and empowerment to be free from the trauma and issues that continue to effect their daily life. They want to understand their emotions, rather than their emotions controlling them. I want to help my clients to tap into their inner strength and wisdom and I believe I provide practical tools to achieving these goals.

Chances are you feel like your relationship lacks trust and intimacy. You might feel like the arguments you have with your loved one always end up in "band-aid" type solutions, and that your partner doesn't quite understand what you're needing or feeling when you express what's important to you. But you're ready to make a change. You're ready to feel like your partner is on your team and would love to build an even deeper connection with him/her/them. You don't want your past to define your future and want to break from old patterns to reach new levels in your relationship where it feels more real and honest.

Are you often feeling self-critical, spiraling into shame, or ruminating about past actions or behaviors? Do you struggle with self-doubt where you kinda “know” what you want and need yet anxiety drives you to put others’ feelings ahead of your own? If you have big or little trauma in your past, this can exacerbate your already overwhelmed feeling. Trauma is not just BIG events, oftentimes it’s smaller "negative impactful experiences" that create our behavior, feelings and reactions today. All of the therapists at our practice are trauma-informed and have awareness of how past experiences impact you today.

How can I find a therapist in Seattle?

Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. From there, you can filter providers by the issues they treat, cost, insurance, gender, and other factors to find providers who are well-suited to your needs. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or zip code into the search bar.

Learn more about how to find a therapist.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

What type of therapist is right for me?

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors. Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
