Stephanie is always client centered and rooted in evidence-based practices. She has received extensive training in various modalities address diagnoses of complex trauma/PTSD, borderline personality disorder, bipolar, addiction issues, and dissociative disorders. She believes the decision to enter therapy is courageous, and the path of self-discovery and fulfillment is one of the most profound journeys on which we embark. This path requires that each person be witnessed, seen, and held in a compassionate and supportive space.

As a therapist, I feel honored to join my clients on their journey of healing as they are reminded of their strengths and learn new skills to overcome their challenges. I understand the importance of building trust with my clients, respecting their stories without judgment, and creating a safe space for them to be open and vulnerable. I find joy in helping my clients better understand themselves and their past and present relationships, let go of negative core beliefs and patterns that are no longer serving them, and ultimately believe that they are enough.

I became a psychologist because I believe in the power of genuine connection. I value addressing how past experiences, family dynamics and cultural influences contribute to belief systems, identities and behavioral patterns that may be causing distress in relationships and inhibiting personal growth. I also see neuro/psychological testing as a tool to better understand individual’s phenomenological experience, to provide clarification of personal strengths and struggles and to guide growth by offering individualized tools, skills and resources.

Life is a roller-coaster: often challenging and sometimes overwhelming. However, I believe that everyone can find their strength and their own path through trauma and difficult decisions. This journey can be painful and difficult, as well as rewarding and liberating. I would like to be your guide on this healing journey and support you in connecting with your own self, recognizing your own needs, working on creating new boundaries, breaking cycles of unhealthy patterns, and developing new healthy relationships.

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in private practice since 2001. I care deeply about helping my clients work through challenges in their lives, with sensitivity and humor. Everyone has challenges but sometimes involving a mental health professional is helpful to produce needed or desired change. I take into account the influences of psychology, biology, culture, family context, and spiritual/religious considerations to find answers to your psychological and relationship questions/concerns. I help my clients find healing and new ways to see the world and strengthen their relationships with themselves and with others.

Although we cannot always remove obstacles in life, we can develop resiliency and coping skills that help us navigate towards fulfillment and growth. It is my fundamental belief that our personal history does not have to determine our future. In my clinical practice, I create a safe, compassionate therapeutic environment where thoughts and feelings are processed to guide you to your unique expression of fulfillment. I am an intern psychotherapist specializing in psychodynamic psychotherapy serving children, adolescents, and adults.
