I am a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Therapist who is also licensed as a Professional Counselor (Mental Health Service Provider) and as a Marital and Family Therapist. I have worked with diverse populations of individuals, couples and families for 30 years--as an executive director and therapist in medical settings, in two pastoral counseling centers, and now in an independent practice. With families I am committed to helping them address the challenges of staying connected and in communication.. With individuals I seek to understand barriers to healthy intentions, the failures one feels, and I become an active ally to change one's unhappy direction..

Hi there! I am a counselor who works with clients ages 13+ and am skilled in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, body image, self-esteem, anger management, and transition issues. I also have specialized training and experience working with older adults with dementia and other cognitive and age-related changes. Additionally, I see teenagers and adults of all ages who identify as LGBTQIA+ and am well-versed in helping clients who are questioning their identities, beginning the coming-out process, and/or transitioning. The treatment of complex histories of trauma, eating disorders, and attachment disruptions must include interventions that rewire the brain from the bottom up, somatic movement to reintegrate the body with the brain, and a felt sense of safety, in the context of relationship. This provides lasting change for improved regulation, mood, energy, the ability to be present and attune to others. Too many therapies focus on decision making, problem solving, or changing your thoughts. This is not how we are wired to work. It leads to disappointment. Paul has been a licensed professional counselor since 2012 with over 20 years experience working in mental health treatment centers. Paul works with a variety of counseling issues that include: pervasive developmental conditions, trauma, depression, anxiety, and grief as well as identity development. In many cases, Paul provides an experiential counseling experience that includes expressive arts and music therapies. Paul provides counseling services within a Christian context.
