Have you been feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, depressed, shame, grief, or low self-esteem? Are you experiencing challenges or changes in your life? The majority of my professional practice involves diagnostic evaluations and neuropsychological testing. The types of issues that I regularly address include brain injury, seizure disorders, dementia, mood disorders, ADHD, and learning disabilities. Due to my experience with a wide variety of clients, I am often asked to provide a diagnosis as well as recommendations for ongoing treatment. When I see an individual for therapy, it is usually related to their adjustment to a disability and ongoing therapeutic guidance.

Sometimes we may need to face our past to reach our best selves. I believe that everyone has the ability to change, adapt, and grow with and through the challenges of life. My approach to counseling is one that looks at the whole person, and I fully honor the courage that it takes to begin any change process. Everyone deserves dignity and respect. My job as a counselor is to listen and provide non-judgmental support for whatever challenges you are facing. I want to work collaboratively with you to set goals and achieve progress toward your well-being. I believe that people have a choice about their behavior, but they are also a product of their environment and experience, influenced by culture and relationships. I work with my clients to raise awareness of their motivations and goals, and to gain control of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

I am a mental health therapist who specializes in trauma and addiction issues. I also often work from a family systems theory basis. I have combined experience as a counselor, educator and social worker for over 22 years. My therapeutic philosophy and approach is to offer empathy and compassion working to understand the whole person perspective and I am a strong advocate to help my clients empower themselves. I offer energy healing work and other alternative therapies as part of my practice such as Hypnosis to include traditional methods of therapeutic intervention.

We are a practice group of licensed psychologists, social workers and professional counselors that provide mental health services in English, Russian, and Ukrainian. We provide individual, couple, family, and group therapy, for ages 4 years old and up.

Abuse is something that affects a lot of people and in various different ways. It is something that can be hidden from the world and no one will know the pain the individual is going through. It is quiet and insidious, leaving lasting effects. It can creep up on you and make you feel alone in the world full of people. It can leave you feeling misunderstood, alone, and/or broken. There are ways to work through the trauma, safeguard yourself, and heal from parts of the abuse. You will rebuild yourself esteem, sense of self, and confidence in the process of healing. Everyone's journey is different.

I hold an integrative approach to therapy which blends Mindfulness practices, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused modalities. I approach therapy from a social justice framework, anti-oppression, multi-cultural and strengths-based approach.
