Possibilities. Isn’t that what every good fairy tale is made of? Inviting you to imagine the impossible. The truth about personal change is that it requires you to participate in making it happen. With over 29 years of experience, I am passionate about helping others find their own possibilities and providing them the skills to begin making changes in their lives to Move Forward.
I am licensed to practice psychotherapy as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Oregon. I have been providing psychotherapy to clients since 2018. I work with adult individuals who are learning how to embrace who they are and what makes their stories and journeys important. I believe that brokenness is part of the human condition. I am here to offer support through the struggles and difficulties you may face.
Life is tough and we all need support at times with changes and difficulties. Counseling can be part of your support network. It is my goal to establish a safe environment where individuals can take time to process issues, and in the process engage their strengths, develop new ways of coping and receive fresh insight. I utilize both cognitive-behavioral therapy and DBT concepts. I am trained in EMDR, a specialized trauma technique. I am also a board approved clinical supervisor.
I believe that one of the most powerful things in the world is to feel seen, heard, cared for, and understood. It is my goal to help each person who walks through my door to feel these things. I also believe that there is hope in any situation. I work with individuals 6 years old and up. I use a blend of approaches including Brainspotting, CBT, ACT, DBT, and play therapy based off what works best for you or your child. I will work with you to identify the areas on which you would like to focus. Then I will collaborate with you to build the skills you need to bring about change in your life.
When things happen unexpectedly or we feel stuck, an opportunity presents to learn something new or gain a different perspective. I believe that when this opportunity presents, we can learn how to “bounce” back and re-invent. This is called “Resilience.” I welcome those who are struggling with deeply personal life changes such as: relationship struggles; anxiety/depression; life transitions; women/men's issues; personal growth; parenting; relationship distress; health/nutrition; loss of beloved pet or loved one. I enjoy helping clients to live their best life. You can create the future of your choosing. The possibilities are yours.

In my 17 years as an individual and family therapist, I have found that people can experience profound change and transformation amidst some of the most challenging circumstances. While pain and discomfort are inevitable in life, suffering comes about when we become stuck in our pain, and are unable to see how to move through difficulties. My approach is one of building a relationship with clients based on trust and a desire to improve their life situation.

Seeking a therapist can feel like an overwhelming process as a Veteran, Police or Corrections Officer. By offering a free 15 minute phone consult, I hope to ease that search and make it a little more comfortable by answering concerns you may have. Because of years of involvement in Military and Law Enforcement culture as a family member, spouse, Blue Star Mom and Police Officer Reservist, I understand our culture and provide a unique ability to connect when it comes to counseling one of our own as it relates to critical incidents, PTSD, crisis, suicide and trauma by offering hope alongside those who serve.
Working in education for over 12 years has given me a great gift. I have been able to access diverse populations, ages and needs. Working with children and adolescence is absolutely life-giving. I believe behavior is a form of communication, that ultimately children want to do well, but sometimes they lack the self-awareness and skill necessary to thrive. I am honored to get to be the one to support them in their journey and equip them with the tools needed for growth and success socially, emotionally, spiritually and educationally. I am also working with men, women and families. Everyone deserves to feel seen, valued and heard.
As a supportive therapist I am dedicated to helping people achieve their goals, enabling them to make important changes in their lives to improve their relationships, reduce anxiety, stress and depression. I offer a diverse approach to therapy to meet the needs of each individual, couple or family I work with and am committed to providing the essential support, compassion and empathy that they need to restore their sense of self and improve personal happiness, self esteem and self confidence.
At some point in our lives, most of us find ourselves in need of supportive help from another person, whether we are struggling with tangled relationships, overwhelming feelings, difficult choices, losses and/or afflictions. Sometimes we don't even know exactly what we need, just that life isn't working out for us in some way. My desire is to work together with you to identify your needs/goals, explore possible paths of growth and/or change, process the feelings that accompany those explorations, and develop your personal resources (which might include family, faith, friendships, etc.).
