Mental health issues that affect learning, such as Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, poor social skills, behavioral issues, stress management, poor organization skills, learning disabilities, self-esteem issues, and poor "adulting" skills are the most critical issues I evaluate for and/or treat. My primary services are psychological testing/diagnosis and counseling. I accept clients ages 3+ but specialize in working with ages 12+.

Bowling Green State University's Psychological Services Center (PSC) offers a broad range of mental health services to the NW Ohio community. Our staff of approximately 40 doctoral students in Clinical Psychology work under the close supervision of licensed psychologists who are BGSU faculty or adjunct faculty. If you're a parent, you've probably been to countless parent-teacher conferences where the teacher tells you all about how great your child's personality is, but that they are failing to reach their full potential in class. Maybe, you and your child spend 2-3 hours at the table EACH night, where you teach (and re-teach!) lessons, only to find your daughter still managed to fail her test the next day! Or just maybe, you're in your 1st-year college math class and can't seem to figure out how the numbers are supposed to go together because you just narrowly passed Algebra in high school and you've NEVER been good at math.

Denise has been a consultant, school psychologist, and clinical counselor for over 30 years working as a licensed and board certified clinical counselor, school psychologist and psychotherapist. She has seen hundreds of children and young adults ages 4 to 22 and older, and specializes in testing and identifying people at-risk for autism, ADHD, anxiety, depression, dyslexia, learning disabilities, and other disorders that result from profound social, emotional, behavioral, academic and learning problems. I received a Master of Social Work from Tulane University, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of New Orleans, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Writing Arts from State University of New York at Oswego. I have worked in community-based mental health as well as private practice. Before counseling, I taught in schools in New Orleans and Boston, working with students with disabilities. I am located in Ohio and am also licensed to practice virtually in Florida.

Ms. Griffith provides thorough and skilled independent psychoeducational evaluations for children (ages 3 and up) and adults with learning differences. Assessments include IQ testing, achievement, adaptive behavior, social-emotional status, ADHD, executive function, and autism to find the source of your or your dependent's challenges. We offer assistance with special education in PreK-12 schools, 504s, and accommodations for College Board exams and college courses.
