I offer outpatient therapy services for all ages to address a variety of areas including relational issues, depression, anxiety, family stress, divorce, parent/child conflict, self-esteem, sexual abuse, child abuse/neglect, and grief/loss. I serve individuals, couples, and families.

I specialize in working with people who have experienced trauma or verbal, emotional, physical or sexual abuse in their families or close relationships. Particularly when abuse happens earlier in life or over a long period, those suffering may develop various symptoms including depression, anxiety, low self esteem, self harm, substance use, and anger issues. I view symptoms as ways of coping that have helped you survive so far. We collaborate in therapy to help you find new ways to relate to yourself and others, and create a more meaningful and satisfying life, however that might look for you.

I am experienced in working with individuals ages 18 and up and couples. I have experience working with those struggling with stress management, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, domestic violence, sexual assault, and other emotional difficulties. I take a collaborative approach to help those I work with accomplish their goals.

I am passionate about helping people achieve a state of mental and emotional wellness and realizing their full potential. I believe that curiosity, compassion, and forgiveness towards self and others form the ideal environment to begin healing. I prefer an integrative approach, meaning I choose theories and techniques based on the client's needs. I counsel individuals ages 15 and up, as well as couples.

My goal is to create a supportive environment where my clients can explore their emotional needs and overcome barriers that limit their full potential. I offer counseling sessions during daytime and evening hours for individuals and couples for topics of concern including Depression, Dual Diagnosis, Codependency, Anxiety/Stress, Communication issues, Trust issues, Loneliness, Emotional intimacy, Trauma/PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury and Self-esteem issues. I have over 30 years experience providing counseling to individuals, families and couples with a variety of mental health issues. I specialize in helping families address issues that make it difficult for them to enjoy their relationships with each other. I have significant experience in helping people resolve trauma issues of abuse or grief, whether recent or past. My approach is supportive and solution focused.

Alana focuses on her client’s strengths to empower them to build a strong foundation to fall back on when there are setbacks in life. She values the importance of human relationships, authenticity, self-determination, integrity, and respect, and these values shine through in her work with clients.

I am a full-time Conventional and Christian Counselor in Bismarck working with individuals and couples. I help individuals from ages 21 and older who are going through Anxiety, Depression, overcoming Trauma and PTSD, or struggling with Life Changes and Challenges. I enjoy helping couples strengthen their relationships or restoring broken or struggling relationships.

My life-long passion is to help children, adolescents, and families heal. I work with children with a range of presenting concerns including attachment, behavior, mood and anxiety. I provide evidence-based treatments within a caring, trusting therapeutic relationship. I enjoy working with children that are considered "complex" including those who have had early developmental trauma and those who have behavioral difficulties that cause significant challenges. Helping parents to become more attuned and connected allows for healing across generations.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) licensed in the state of North Dakota. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from North Dakota State University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Mary. I utilize many different therapy modalities and techniques which are tailored to each individual person’s needs. I work primarily with adults focusing on depression, anxiety and panic disorders, trauma, PTSD, and I utilize EMDR. I am LGBTQIA+ affirmative, and I specialize in working with people who are queer, trans, or questioning gender identity.
