As a Christian my faith in Christ is the most vital aspect of who I am. As my client you can be assured that my counsel is governed by biblical principles and informed by the latest research. I will listen attentively and help you find the sources of your problems and learn new ways to live in the freedom that Christ promises us. I believe that there is tremendous strength when a person is able to tell their story in a way that is honoring to the Lord, and I am committed to guiding people toward truth and the freedom that follows. Our counseling relationship will be two Spirit-led individuals working in one direction: your goals.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults, and my approach is shaped by my background in both education and clinical counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in North Dakota and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Minnesota, and I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Before becoming a counselor, I worked as a special education teacher supporting students with emotional and behavioral disorders, an experience that continues to influence my work today.

As your therapist, my goal is to provide you with the support and connection to feel confident in your pursuit of what brings joy to your life and peace to your mind. Throughout my experience as a counselor, I have found a passion in supporting children, parents (both current as well as those wanting or waiting to become parents), and young adults. I work from a stance of believing my clients are the experts of their own lives, who can find healing and direction through a healthy and supportive therapeutic relationship.

I specialize in working with professionals and individuals who have experienced trauma, especially early or long-term abuse in close relationships. These experiences can lead to depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, self-harm, substance use, or anger. I see these symptoms as survival strategies that have helped you cope. In therapy, we explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion, helping you build self-understanding, resilience, and healthier relationships—so you can create a life that feels meaningful, balanced, and fulfilling.

You find yourself doing what you love, yet it is killing you. You see yourself losing connections with family, friends, and other significant individuals in your life, but you just cannot separate yourself from your purpose and passions. You may feel extreme guilt, regret, and sadness, and at the same time, fear you will not be able to reach your ultimate goals. Overall, you simply feel alone and isolated because no one truly understands what you are going through.

Hi! My life path to this point looks more like the scribbling of a 2-year-old than the "normal" pathway that one is supposed to take. If you are wanting a clinician to tell you how to do things the "normal" way and teach you to assimilate - you may want to check someone else's profile. If you want someone who understands brains that think differently and will try their best to figure out your strengths and a way to help you make the most of your neuro-spiciness, I am here for you (I am grateful for a spicy & smart client for that terminology!).

Are you or your child feeling overwhelmed or stuck?
Does it seem like things are only getting harder, like the world is closing in, and no one truly understands what you're going through?
You’re doing your best—and that matters.
But sometimes, even the strongest people need a little support to find their footing again.
