I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS) with over 17 years of experience helping Children, Adults, Couples and Families. I have extensive expertise in treating traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, oppositional behaviors, relational issues, and couples issues. I founded Potter Counseling & Consulting in 2016 and devote much of my time to training and supervising our team of clinicians.

Hearing from the heart and seeking help with paralyzing personal challenges can be a daunting experience. Finding someone to connect with in the process of personal healing is half the battle to a solution. Keeping the person at the center of the therapeutic process is a goal for me. I have employed this approach for over 16 years of practice in Western NC. While this majestic mountain setting is a place of unique beauty it is not free of personal challenges that may need a calm and skilled approach to navigating life' s challenges.

Alliance Community Transition Group has both male and female therapists available who are still accepting new clients. However, EJ's caseload is full and he is not accepting new clients at this time.

My ideal client is someone that is working to make changes in their life even if they are not sure what those changes should be.

I provide relational and person-centered therapy to individuals, couples, and families. For the last 14 years I have served a diverse population in treating mental health needs including, anxiety, addiction, relationship/marital trouble, and negative behavior/thinking patterns. People often come wanting a solution to these and many other problems. In my practice, I have found success in helping people look deeper than the surface or for an easy solution. I wish I could promise an easy road ahead. What I can promise is compassion, empathy, support, and guided help on this road to healing.
