I get it superwoman; you wear all the hats. Mom hat, wife hat, friend hat, employee hat. All the hats! But that gets exhausting. Constantly having to make sure everything is running smoothly and everyone is happy and ok takes its toll. You find yourself constantly worrying…bills, kids, spouse, friends, career, on and on and on. What's worse is that in all the worrying and juggling you’ve lost yourself. This part right here is a nagging thought that stresses you out even more. You don’t even recognize who you are anymore or how you’ve gotten to this place. It’s beyond frustrating. I get it.

Welcome and thank you for checking in! My approach to therapy comes from a humanistic-experiential and systemic perspective, which allows me to view you and your presenting concerns within the context of your world, your relationships, how you identify, and all the layers of experience you bring with you into therapy. Empowering people to be more attuned with their emotions in order to develop supportive skills towards self-acceptance and “wholeness” to overcome challenges is a major part of my therapeutic practice. I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Appointments are held Monday-Thursday 9am-4pm.

Has a doctor ever told you that if you lost weight, all your problems would be solved? Has a doctor ever explained "all the benefits of weight loss" and then offered no guidance other than “eat less and move more”? Did you leave the appointment feeling defeated and like you took up too much space? Did you try all the diets, only to end up gaining more weight? If you answered “yes” to any of the above questions, then you and I may be a good therapeutic match. I am HAES and Intuitive Eating aligned and am currently accepting new clients.

** Currently have limited openings on Wednesday and Thursday.** A mental health diagnosis does not define who you are or have the final say in the quality of your life. I believe that education is power and the more a person understands their condition the better they can manage life and relationships. I also believe that being allowed to share your journey is an honor. Therapy can be freeing as it inspires personal growth and hopeful outcomes.

I specialize in helping adults negotiate turning points and transitions. These turning points are the critical experiences making our lives' narratives uniquely ours. Transitions may come in the form of divorce, grief, job loss, health concerns, or parenting status changes. Alternatively, transitions may be signals it is time for a change. My work focuses on making meaning of these transitions and the stressors that often accompany them. Some of my specific areas of practice include work and career issues, relationship concerns, and stress and stress management.

Are you having difficulty with your relationships? When you understand how important you are and how valuable your life is, I believe you will make better choices when it comes to the people you allow into your life. My hope is that you recognize the unique things you offer the world and be vulnerable enough to share them. Connection to people is something we all need and it is often determined through the love we hold for ourselves.

Life is not always easy to manage. At times we sail through rough waters with ease. Other times we get "stuck". We have trouble navigating our way through the fog. We feel something is "wrong". We might be telling other people that we are fine but inside we know we are not. We put on a false face just to get by. We need help but it isn't always easy to reach out. I am here to help. Whatever it is that you face, we can face it together in a collaborative manner. I offer a healing presence, openminded-ness and a non-judgmental safe space for you to find answers-strengths, self acceptance, vitality and peace. I welcome you!
