I am a marriage and family therapist who helps couples, families, and individual adults, navigate through challenging transitions in life. My work is focused on helping people get unstuck from unhelpful patterns in themselves and in their primary relationships, and in amplifying their strengths and resiliency.
My primary orientation is systemic. A systems approach views difficulties in the context of relationships, both past and present. The aim of the work is to help people change their patterns in relating to others that perpetuate their difficulties, and enhance those patterns that are already working for them.
People choose to work with me because of the connection I make with them, individually, with their partner, with their adolescent, and/or with their family. For over 30 years, I have treated a wide variety of presenting problems, and what I'm good at is translating therapy into practical changes and improved relationships.
