I like to maintain a variety of different ways to help clients, so I focus on thought patterns, decision-making, relationships and emotional experiences. I am goal oriented, empathetic, and believe in using the power of each person's innate strengths to help him or her overcome obstacles.

I am past-President of the Greater Kansas City-Topeka Psychoanalytic Center where I also serve on the Psychoanalytic Institute teaching faculty. I create a warm, safe, and therapeutic environment for adults and adolescents struggling with mood, anxiety, trauma, adjustment, and relationship issues. I provide briefer therapy as well as psychoanalysis-a deeper, longer-term, more intensive treatment for more lasting and fundamental change.

Many of my clients' struggle with interpersonal relationship dynamics, as well as having experienced abandonment, rejection, painful relationships, and various forms of abuse.
