I'm also an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and can provide support for aspiring LMFT-A clinicians.

The clients that I see are struggling with how to get and give the love they want and need. Most clients that I work with have a deep desire to feel heard and understood in their intimate relationships. Some clients become lost and struggle with anxiety and depression when feelings of shame, guilt and abandonment come into play. They need someone to help them understand their pain and walk with them as they transform their lives.

I have more than 15 years of experience in the field of eating disorder treatment, including inpatient, residential, and outpatient levels of care.

I approach all clients with compassion, a desire to connect, and acceptance of all presenting issues. I counsel clients with eating disorders, body image concerns, and those who are desiring to move towards acceptance and care of their current bodies. I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degree from Indiana University. I am a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator (CDWF). I facilitate BOLD™, a courage building curriculum specifically designed for mature adolescents and young adults based on the research and books of Brené Brown. I utilize the work of Brené Brown in Daring Way™ & Rising Strong™ designed to help individuals explore areas related to their own relationship to vulnerability, shame, and wholeheartedness.

THERAPY: I hear so much negativity in our field about work with people. But - I am amazed by some of the people that step foot into my office. I am in awe of their ability to smile through pain. I feel blessed that I get to share in their strong, resilience and desire to grow and change. I learn so much from them. I’m also frustrated with societies message that emotions like anger, resentfulness and jealousy are abnormal for us to feel. Sometimes they interfere with other parts of our life. These people that I encounter on a day-to-day basis are amazing, beautiful people. To all of them I say-
