About
Hi, my name is Sean, and welcome to my page. Let me share a bit about myself. I decided to become a counselor because I realized that one of the things I most enjoyed in life was having deep and meaningful conversations with people that helped them think through issues going on in their lives. I pursued formal education so that I could be of more help to people and turn what I enjoyed into a career. I completed my degree in 2017. Since entering the counseling field I have gotten to work with a variety of populations including: adults, couples, families, and children.
I've spent the past few years working with children who have emotional and behavior issues, such as ADHD, oppositional behavior, trauma, and suicide risk. However, I have also had experience with issues including: anxiety and depression, marital difficulties, obsessive worry, compulsive pornography use, struggles with spirituality, trauma, and boundaries.
In therapy, we will discuss the issues you're having, gather information about your life, and work together to develop specific goals. We will work collaboratively each session to determine topics to discuss, and tasks to practice in between sessions, while I will use techniques drawn from theories of CBT, ACT, and EFT to help you move towards your goals.
