As a counselor, I employ the use of an integrative approach which assists clients in their process of working through and with life experiences. I enjoy brainstorming with the client; to identify goals, learn and practice skills that enhance their individual abilities in a healthy manner. Such therapy is particularly well-suited to people, couples, and families who are struggling with life transitions, and have a genuine desire to pursue personal and professional growth.

Now accepting individuals 18+ with Medicaid. Struggles in life have a way of overtaking us and leading us to a place where we don’t even know who we are anymore. This results in feelings of depression, anxiety, anger, and a host of other ailments that has brought you to this place of seeking help. I specialize in helping clients gain a better understanding of themselves and help them create a positive self-concept. There is such freedom in knowing who you are and how you can overcome life’s challenges simply because you have confidence! I see individuals 18 years and up. Sorry no couples or family therapy at this time.

Healing begins the moment we start to feel seen and heard. I provide an acceptance oriented space where clients can explore the roots of patterns and emotions, allowing for healing and self-awareness. I seek to accompany individuals through life's obstacles, offering tools and insights to empower clients to facilitate positive change in their life. I specialize in assisting teens, young adults, and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions, and social/relationship concerns. I aim to assist clients in healing from the past, finding meaning and joy in the present, and discovering their authentic selves.

My belief is that everyone has the potential to heal and grow. I use a strengths-based approach to help clients identify and build upon their own strengths. I am a clinical counseling graduate student, pursuing my LPC counseling license, and I am located at The Counseling Center at Tree City in Boise. I am committed to using recovery-oriented interventions that promote resilience and empowerment. I believe that counseling can play a vital role in helping people reach their full potential.

Finding a counselor with whom you connect is the first, and quite possibly, the most important step in the counseling process. It is my belief, offering a comfortable and safe environment conducive of open and honest self-exploration, is what helps lead to lasting and meaningful life changes. My hope is the environment we create while working together will enable you to continue on your path with new insight and a positive direction.

I believe that the relationship you build with yourself is so important for building other strong, meaningful relationships. In our time together, I will be your biggest advocate and encourage you to be your most authentic self. Often the things we are wanting to ignore are the things causing us the most shame and discomfort. I believe in looking at those parts of yourself that you often want to neglect and build a new relationship with them. While difficult at times, we will approach these parts with grace and understanding.

Life can be difficult. We become laden, maybe overwhelmed with loss, trauma, anxiety, and depression without anywhere to discuss our feelings or our pain. My office is a serene environment whereby we can explore together those thoughts, feelings, and symptoms that cause a sense of being lost or alone, a place where someone will listen to you without fear of criticism or judgment. When you are ready, we can discuss interventions for your difficulties and symptoms so that you can continue on your journey, stronger and healthier.
