I am a telehealth-only therapist in Colorado who specializes in individuals and couples struggling with relationships, intimacy, self-esteem, family dysfunction, and trauma. I believe that sexuality is a core part of being human and seek to help my clients find joy in sex and eroticism. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which helps alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories. As I have spent four years working and traveling in Central and South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, I approach each client with an open mind and value everyone's diverse array of experiences.

Bronwyn specializes in trauma, grief/loss, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress management, relationship issues, weight/body issues, mindfulness, mind/body connection, career coaching/counseling, pre/post natal issues, premarital discovery, divorce recovery, perfectionistic/people pleasing tendencies, and attachment.
Throughout our life we have developed strategies to handle upheaval, loss, and struggle. These strategies, though well practiced, may no longer be serving us. Bronwyn offers a safe space to unpack historical experiences and present-day triggers. She encourages curiosity and self-awareness. She pulls from Hakomi, mindfulness, and neurobiology to tend to emotions, identify & adapt unhelpful thinking and behavior, and regulate the nervous system. Bronwyn's approach builds resiliency, offers new strategies in managing daily stressors/anxieties, helps respond to somatic (physical) symptoms, and nurtures your inner voice.

Trauma derives from different sources, such as childhood abuse, combat, sexual assault, domestic violence, and other unusual adult experiences.
Currently accepting only those who are either active military, veterans or their family members. I specialize in treating trauma, depression, anxiety, OCD, anxious attachment behavior, and relational difficulties. I use action oriented, behavior based approaches. If you've struggled with people not getting what you're going through or been burned even by other therapists, I'm hoping I can help turn that around for you. Sometimes the people in our lives our even society at large don't understand what it means to dealing with what we've got going on and man can it be tough handling it on our own. Whether it's issues related to culture, grief, communication, or trauma, we can work towards managing it in a way that feels doable.

I know first hand how overwhelming it is to find a counselor that's the right fit. I am so glad you are here. Life can be difficult, but it doesn't have to feel unmanageable. We all need support and guidance as we work to navigate daily life. Living in constant fear is paralyzing and feels like you are trapped in your own body. You feel stuck and worry if you will ever find relief. Change is possible and I am here to help. I work with adults who struggle with issues related to anxiety, life transitions, and trauma. I am relational in my approach, meaning that I work to establish authentic connection in the therapeutic relationship.

I specialize in trauma (PTSD), men's issues and depression/anxiety.
Have you been in therapy for years and feel like you are not making progress? Have you been trying to change some maladaptive behaviors like; lashing out at others, giving in/pacifying, avoiding people/situations, or just breaking out of a depressive funk? You are not broken. The discourse may be wrong. We are all shaped by our individual experiences. They represent themselves in the form of memories and they not only define us but often make it hard to change without addressing them directly. If you are ready for change and feel you need to change the discourse, I encourage you to reach out.

Waitlist for new clients
About our work: In a world inherently full of scarcity, violence, unpredictability, and a lack of meaningful inclusion, many bodyminds develop dis-stress, dys-regulation, dis-ease, and other adaptive trauma responses. I view my clients as equal partners, prioritizing their lived experience and self-determination as we experiment with new somatic, movement, emotional, cognitive, behavioral, and social strategies to replace disempowering Stress Response System patterns with more empowering ones. We take a systems approach, brainstorming ways to advocate for meaningful inclusion in the social context to create a values-aligned life.

I’ve been honored to help individuals navigate relationship issues (like dating, love, conflict, monogamy, polyamory, and breakups) and recover from breakups, trauma, and insecure attachment.
Welcome! I imagine you’re facing some challenges. Maybe you're struggling with relationship issues or dating. Maybe you're having upsetting memories of traumatic experiences you've been through. Or, maybe you’re feeling anxious or insecure. Everyone struggles sometimes, and sometimes we all need help. We need someone who will listen, understand, and accept us. Someone who cares, who can help us heal. Someone who can help us make sense of what’s happening so we can see things more clearly. I’m passionate about being there for my clients in these ways, and I’m glad you’re here. I work with both individuals and couples.

I specialize in working with people who feel like they've lost their connection with themselves as a result of trauma. It might be easy for you to be there for others but struggle showing up for yourself. You might be really good at identifying your emotions but struggle actually feeling them. Your inner voice might be too mean, and you feel like your own worst enemy. If this resonates with you and you're looking for different therapeutic methods that go beyond talk therapy and delve deeper into self-exploration, I can be of help.

I specialize in dealing with individuals who suffer from low self-esteem and/or trauma which has caused problems in work, relationships and fulfilling their full potential.
I enjoy working with clients who are motivated to look at their issues and be willing to change. I feel the therapeutic relationship is a collaborative effort conducted in a safe and caring environment. The relationship between the therapist and the client is as important in the healing process as any techniques that are used. I feel it is important to empower individuals to go out and live a rich and fulfilling life. I certainly believe that it is a privilege and an honor to participate in helping people heal through their life's most challenging times.

I have been in practice for over 30 years. I specialize in working with adolescent females, and LGBTQIA-identified clients and their families who are often times involved in the juvenile justice system and child welfare. I also work with female and LGBTQIA military personnel and veterans. Working with these systems has afforded me the opportunity to build my skills so that I am very proficient in many areas, such as trauma and PTSD, adoption, permanency, military personnel, and addiction concerns. I work from a strength-based, solution-focused perspective and utilize cognitive behavioral therapy and experiential treatment models.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
