I'm Rebecca and I help badass high-functioning women with complex trauma backgrounds to heal their trauma and engage more presently and authentically in their relationships.
Hey Survivor, looking for a space where you can finally be vulnerable and imperfect enough to heal yourself and/or your relationship?
You (likely) identify as a woman. You grew up in a chaotic and traumatic household, and statically you experienced sexual violence before the age of 18. From a young age you started picking up slack, taking care of others, becoming your own parent. You learned to keep yourself safe by being what other people need, smoothing things over, ignoring your intuition. Likely you left home early, which left you vulnerable to your first serious relationship with someone much older and unsafe/unhealthy.

I specialize in working with aid workers, trauma survivors, and those returning from global assignments, helping them process moral injury, vicarious trauma, and re-entry stress.
I believe that change is challenging because we tend to see what we already know. The therapeutic process should offer a partnership where new ways of seeing and experiencing emerge through the relational space. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-based, with a foundation in psychodynamic relational work.

I've been helping individuals and couples for over 30 years to improve relationships, deal with challenges, heal from trauma and abuse, eliminate self-destructive behaviors, overcome codependency and addiction, and to feel more secure.
I help clients see that change and growth are an inside job. When people feel unhappy they often look to other people, career, money and substances to make them feel better. This doesn't work long-term and only creates dependencies that harm them. For many, struggles are rooted in childhood experiences with less than ideal parenting and attachment patterns. Helping my clients to resolve and move past family of origin wounds, identify and eliminate destructive beliefs from their childhood and the behavior created from these beliefs, allows clients the ability to embrace their own lives and opens the door into joy & personal freedom.

I specialize in gender affirming therapy, trauma therapy, and working with historically marginalized folx.
I offer individual therapy but also greatly value working with systems, so change can be more comprehensive and expansive. In all of my work, I believe we have to feel safe first. In order to do that, I come from an anti-racist and decolonized framework to offer trust and visibility as a first step into healing.

I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, PTSD, and OCD and have experience working with anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, gender dysphoria, self-harm, and chronic pain & illness.
Psychotherapy can provide an invaluable space to explore our fears and suffering with a compassionate witness. Over time, we are able to befriend aspects of ourselves that we have suppressed and begin to recognize that our symptoms are coping skills we have used to survive. I seek to provide gentle guidance to clients to help them move into discomfort, expand their insight, and discover previously untapped strength and resources, while also respecting each person’s unique process and pacing. I have a holistic approach, taking into consideration the mind, body, and spirit as integral to healing.

I specialize in trauma and attachment, and work from a holistic perspective to tap into the wisdom of your body, mind, and spirit.
Whether you’re navigating a breakup, in the midst of the dating world, trying to make friends in a new city, or you’re 10 years into your relationship- you’re feeling anxious and confused about why you keep ending up in the same patterns with people you love. You are aware your anxiety can make you question yourself, but you aren’t sure how to stop it. You might be having trouble sleeping, having gastrointestinal issues, or numbing yourself with busyness. You are highly attuned to anticipate others’ needs, but that often comes at your expense, and you want to increase your intuition to know whether someone is safe and trustworthy.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists
When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.
How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.
What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.
Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
