In addition to teaching, I am a certified Holistic Health Practitioner. I am an energetic and passionate professional who has a successful track record of teaching students with cognitive, physical, emotional, and behavioral issues. Helping parents raise healthier, more independent children with neurological issues through the teachings of ABA (NET), nutrition and improved temporal timing in the brain are something I’m also passionate about. Matthew Gumb brings years of experience in his counseling work with adults, children, and adolescents. Working to help individuals and families that suffer with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, anxiety, anger management, inattentive/impulsive behavior, as well as other issues. His primary theoretical approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as Existentialism and Person-Centered. Matthew also has trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) for assisting individuals with OCD.

At Tango Trails, Traditional and Equine-Assisted Counseling are combined to help our clients. We believe that interaction with the natural world, and especially horses, is a great way to promote healing. Both riding and non-riding activities are used in therapy sessions. No horse experience necessary.
