About
Matthew Gumb brings years of deep and varied experience in his counseling work with adults, children, and adolescents. Working to help individuals and families that suffer with depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anger management, inattentive/impulsive behavior, as well as other issues. He has worked in settings such as residential treatment, as an intensive in-home therapist, and a mental health counselor and practice training manager for a large psychotherapy group. Matthew’s theoretical approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as Existentialism, Person-Centered, and Reality Therapy.
Matthew feels a strong sense of vocational calling to become a counselor and to work to create an environment that fosters safety and acceptance for others, while also being shaped by the desire to bring greater self-awareness and personal growth to those with whom he works. Matthew also has training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) in for OCD work.
And as much as Matthew feels called to his work as a therapist, he believes his true vocation is as a husband and father. Matthew's wife, Danielle, are the proud parents of 3 sons. Matthew is also a huge coffee enthusiast with an abiding love of music, the mountains, and the quirky corners of pop culture humor.
