I am a psychiatrist with extra training and experience with Treatment Resistant Depression, whether due to common psychiatric comorbidities such as anxiety, OCD, and PTSD or to medical illness. In particular I have a special focus on patients with immunological disease and chronic illness that causes inflammation. My typical patients are adults with a history of treatment failure or who need to balance the effects of complex medication regimens to maximize function. I also work with adults with Bipolar, ADHD, and ASD. I am happy to work with patients of all sexual/gender identities, ethnicities and faiths.

Amanda obtained her MSN from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, where she specialized in Family in 2020. She also obtained a Post-Master’s Certificate from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston where she specialized as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2021.

I utilize biopsychosocial approach to mental illness that takes into account each individual's physical health, environment, and psychological experiences throughout their life.

As an adult psychiatrist Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, I hold a medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and completed a four-year residency in adult psychiatry at Zucker Hillside Hospital in Queens. Barbara Reed is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Association, and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. She graduated from Saint Louis University and has been in the field of psychiatry for the past 11 years. She started her nursing career at SSM Wentzville in Missouri and also worked at Washington University at St Louis in the Department of Psychiatry. She is a former Adjunct Instructor of pre-licensure baccalaureate nursing students.
