I am accepting new patients. I congratulate you on taking the first steps towards a brighter future as I know it's not easy. My goal is to not only understand your concerns but also your values and treatment goals so that we can work towards improvement together. Your treatment plan will be something we develop cooperatively, balancing psychotherapy, lifestyle adjustments, and medication when warranted, all in accordance with your values. I schedule my initial appointments for 90 minutes so we have ample time to do so. I treat a wide variety of conditions, from minor mood difficulties to serious mental illness.

An idea of what to expect in the first session is getting a perspective on what if anything has been going on in your life. We will talk for about 40 minutes and then spend 10 min chatting what might be of value and options for working together. Prior to the visit we may implement rating tools that are beneficial for the goal of forming a diagnosis as well as getting a baseline to gauge the benefit of treatment at latter dates.

Dr. Satish D. Narayan is a physician with 18 years of experience providing psychiatric services. He currently holds a position as the Medical Director of the Partial Hospitalization Program at Carrollton Springs and has been in private practice since 2008. He received his medical degree from Bangalore Medical College in 1990. He completed his Residency in Psychiatry at Temple University Hospital in 1998 and became certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in 2000. He has a professional membership with the Texas Medical Association.

Jaime Nelson is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and has been practicing in the Austin community since 2011. She has experience in inpatient psychiatric hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, group homes and she is currently practicing in private practice with outpatient clients.

I provide medication management services for women across the lifespan who are struggling with mood, anxiety, or relationship difficulties. I have a particular focus on challenges facing mothers and on prescribing for women who are planning pregnancies, currently pregnant, breastfeeding, struggling with mood around their menstrual cycles or perimenopausal. I am available to see new patients across Texas through my new practice at MindPath, a Community Psychiatry practice. Dr. Nettles is a board certified adult psychiatrist who enjoys working with a wide variety of adult psychiatric disorders, and especially exploring the interface between physical and mental wellness. Just as our physical wellbeing has an impact on our mood, emotional distress can manifest in a variety of ways in the body. Dr. Nettles aims to provide holistic care, working with clients to address whole body wellness via nutrition, exercise, sleep, meditative practices, and if needed, medication. She believes in a collaborative approach, working alongside therapists and other team members.

I provide medication management to adults 18+ years of age in the Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient setting at Connections Wellness Group in Denton, TX. I treat several disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, substance use, addiction, ADHD, eating disorders, PTSD, and ADHD, to name a few. My passion for treating mental health started during my RN training, and this desire has stayed strong and consistent ever since. I also have experience working in the Federal Prison System, and I am a veteran of the U.S. Public Health Service.
