I am a psychiatrist with extra training and experience with Treatment Resistant Depression, whether due to common psychiatric comorbidities such as anxiety, OCD, and PTSD or to medical illness. In particular I have a special focus on patients with immunological disease and chronic illness that causes inflammation. My typical patients are adults with a history of treatment failure or who need to balance the effects of complex medication regimens to maximize function. I also work with adults with Bipolar, ADHD, and ASD. I am happy to work with patients of all sexual/gender identities, ethnicities and faiths.
I have an evidence-based yet holistic approach including non-medication interventions such as diet, exercise, and other "alternative" treatments. I offer limited slots for psychotherapy alone but incorporate interventions from psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, and acceptance and commitment therapy for all of my patients as appropriate.
A patient centered, collaborative approach to mental health care is very important to me, as is a commitment to offering you the best evidence-based recommendations for your individual needs and circumstances. I strive to create a trusting environment in which patients can share all information relevant to their care, and be heard.
