I use research and evidence-based practices to assist in choosing the best regimen for you, but ultimately, you know your body best. Hi there, my name is Sarah. I was born in California but grew up in Northern Colorado. I have over 10 years of nursing experience in medical/surgical, post-partum/NICU care and pediatrics. I have also worked at an inpatient facility specializing in the treatment of eating disorders for adults and child/adolescents. I became a Nurse Practitioner because I love helping others and wanted to provide mental health services to my community. I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who focuses on treating patients across the life span, providing mental health care to adolescents and adults.

Born and raised in Kansas City, I decided to pursue a medical career during high school. I went to trade school and worked as a medical assistant and phlebotomist. After several years I decided to further my education in nursing, attaining my LPN, RN, BSN, MSN, and post-graduate certification. I graduated summa cum laude from all nursing coursework. Margurite decided to pursue my PMHNP certification out of my desire to more effectively help others suffering from anxiety and depression.

Dr. Jessica Tsourmas is a Psychiatrist in Colorado who has been practicing since 2006. She studied at Vanderbilt University and George Washington Medical. Dr. Tsourmas would describe her medical and psychiatric approach as holistic and patient centered. The joy in and passion in what she does comes from each patient striving for and achieving their own personal goals. There is something so meaningful in this work when a patient gets better and creates the life they want to live. Outside of work, Dr. Tsourmas enjoys spending time with family and friends, yoga, cooking, reading, being a lifelong student, and DIYing.

Chelsea attended The Ohio State University, where she received both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health. She is ANCC board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She recently moved to the Denver area, after spending the last 10 years in Columbus, Ohio. Chelsea started her career as a Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse at Wexner Medical Center. Upon completion of her master’s program, she worked as a nurse practitioner in long-term care facilities, providing psychiatric consult services to both adult and geriatric patients.

Dr. Ryan Brown is a Psychiatrist in Texas who has been practicing since 2020. Dr. Brown earned his Bachelor's degree in history from Southwestern University and his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed a residency in general psychiatry at the University of North Carolina Medical Center and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Texas Dell Medical School. Dr. Brown has experience and specialization in the treatment of acute mental illness, developmental disorders, and integrated whole person mental health care.

I am the founder of Balanced Mental Wellness and have been a psychiatric nurse practitioner for over 10 years. I currently consult other practices and speak professionally on psychiatric medication and therapy topics throughout the country. I supervise and collaborate with our clinicians at Balanced Mental Wellness, ensuring that all clients receive the highest standard of care from a holistic and patient centered perspective.
