I recognize the importance of maintaining mental health and how it can greatly impact physical health and vice versa. We all have life stressors, and I strongly believe we can all benefit from regular mental health checkups. I enjoy working with a diverse adult population including the LGBTQ+ community. I offer psychiatric medication evaluations and treatment and am currently open to new patients. I received my PA Master’s degree at the University of Colorado Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant (CHA/PA) Program in 2020 and have remained in Denver since. I completed my B.S. in Human Biology and B.A. in Art History & Criticism at the University of California, San Diego. Before moving to Colorado, I spent two years as an EMT, followed by two years as a TMS technician. Working in the field of TMS, I naturally gravitated towards psychiatry and have continued to enhance my skills in the field since.

I approach our work in a spirit of collaboration. My therapeutic approach is warm, compassionate and kind with the goal of cultivating an environment where progress can take place. Some the conditions that I commonly evaluate and treat include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma related conditions, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (adhd), psychosis, neurodevelopmental conditions, autism spectrum disorder, issues that often affect LGBTQ+ individuals, professionals in crisis, cultural stressors and family conflict. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management and therapy.

I've had an exciting journey in healthcare, starting as an EMT at just 16 and evolving into a specialist in pediatric nursing and emergency/trauma care. After earning my BSN and MSN-Ed from the University of Central Florida, I'm now on the thrilling path to a DNP at Regis University. Alongside my studies, I'm a full-time assistant professor dedicated to shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals. I also completed my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) education at Colorado State University-Pueblo, where I've developed a deep passion for mental health across all ages. Justin is originally from Mississippi, and after serving four years in the United States Air Force as an aircraft avionic technician, he attended University of Southern Mississippi where he majored in nursing. Justin worked for five years as a Registered Nurse before earning his Master’s in Nursing from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and began working as Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Justin treats children age 5 and over, adults, and geriatric patients.

I am originally from Alabama and attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham for my MSN. I also spent 7 years in the Army and am a combat veteran. I have been in Nursing since 2013 and mental health since 2016 where I got my start at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Tennessee working with inpatient psychiatry. Working with veterans helped me to realize my next career goal of becoming a PMHNP. I set forth and graduated in 2020 with my MSN as a PMHNP.

I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 14 years of Psychiatric Mental Health experience, focusing mostly in crisis treatment, alcohol and opioid dependence along with the treatment of schizophrenia, depression, and anxiety. I consult all clients without judgment, exclude no psychiatric issue or age group and truly believe every patient deserves only the best treatment and care. I have worked in several different units in the psychiatric Hospitals around the Miami area. I have two beautiful young children and an amazing wife that supports me in everything I do; they are the backbone of my life.
