About
When we meet I will discuss what sort of therapy will be best for you . I am a therapist who listens with intelligence and compassion, but I am not one who just sits in silence. I am sensitive to how difficult it can be to share personal issues. Sometimes the work will be challenging, but the experience of being heard and understood can be very powerful.
I take pride in being warm and empathic, yet also boundaried and professional. Whether we are using CBT techniques or work with the past and the subconscious, I will listen and challenge with care and compassion. During the Covid19 crisis I shall be working via phone, WhatsApp and Skype. I am also offering a reduced fee for key workers.
Making that first move to contact a counsellor can be very difficult. It is always easier to hide and to remain with the old familiar patterns. But, having reached out and arranged a first session, we will see if we can work together and what is the best way forward. Counselling has made a huge, even life changing difference, to very many of my clients.
