Welcome! It is always the most difficult of steps to reach out for help. I am glad to be a part of your journey for understanding, acceptance and change. Working as a team, important changes in your life can be realized. Clients who are motivated to making positive changes even if they are not sure how they can achieve these goals are encouraged to call. Clients who come in questioning will find support without judgment.
I wish to serve as a guide for my clients on their own journey towards self-discovery. I am practicing humanistic psychology and my primary focus is to create an empathetic, non-judgmental, and safe therapeutic relationship. By using person-centered counseling, I am able to help my clients discover their authentic selves. I wish to help reduce anxiety and aid my clients in developing a positive self-image for themselves. I am interested in learning and understanding my clients’ self-perceptions and view of their own reality. My belief is that our worth is conditioned by others and this often can be detrimental to our mental health.
**I AM ACCEPTING A LIMITED NUMBER OF CLIENTS FOR TELETHERAPY ONLY. PLEASE INQUIRE BY EMAIL** I help individuals navigate the many complexities of relationships, work stress, chronic health conditions, and other challenges that come up in life that may leave them feeling stuck. I work with people from different backgrounds who are tackling issues such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, relationship issues, postpartum depression and transgender clients navigating the transition process. I love the outdoors and being active. I encourage clients to explore the benefits of exercise and movement in all forms.
*** Currently accepting new clients*** I believe that a collaborative approach and a genuine therapeutic relationship serve as the foundation for immense personal growth and change. I approach therapy through warmth and compassion, striving to create a safe and non-judgmental space from which to explore emotions, life patterns, and areas for growth. I specialize in working with adolescents, college students and adults experiencing anxiety, depression and trauma.
In 20 years of witnessing adults/children within the therapeutic relationship, I am in awe of the strength and resiliency individuals show in the face of truly traumatic events. Over the years, I have built a level of expertise in understanding the role that the transpersonal plays in the healing process. Being a Registered Play Therapist means that I have examined clinically how the story we tell ourselves about an event dictates both the burdens & the strengths we assign to our "self." I welcome you to that process of discovery and healing as we partner on the human journey together.
Psychotherapy is very rewarding and challenging work. Anyone seeking to make themselves healthier needs to know that and be open to change. Despite how difficult it is to work through the issues that disrupt our lives, the reward is learning that life is a process worth living and improving on a continuous basis. I treat people with trauma issues, depression, anxiety, PTSD, career moves, family issues, OCD, addictive behaviors, relationship problems and interpersonal unhappiness often beginning with providing psycho-educational information such as personal boundaries, basic human rights, safety, and coping and advocacy skills.
NOT ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS AT THIS TIME. I enjoy working with people with a wide range of challenges, and am passionate about helping people recognize their strengths. I enjoy incorporating drumming, music, and humor in therapy. I believe we all have the capacity for meaningful change. My approach is strengths based, with much emphasis on the relationship we build. I use education and interventions that help people understand and our body in mental health. My practice is trauma informed and resiliency focused, with emphasis on the role of our autonomic nervous system (ANS) in our emotional state.
I am here to bear witness to the beautiful yet challenging process towards healing. My goal is to provide an authentic space for individuals to explore their experiences and engage in deeper more meaningful work towards whole-body wellness. It is important to me to work collaboratively throughout our therapeutic relationship. I support individuals who struggle to find meaning in their daily life, chronic illness, anxiety, depression & grief.
My strengths and talents include having compassion and empathy for the people I work with. What I believe is special or distinct about me as a therapist is my ability to encourage people to be open about their experiences. What I love most about my work is being able to join people in their journey of discovery about what their future holds for them. I have experience working in a community mental health setting for the last 14 years, where I have worked with a variety of mental health needs. I have been working as a private therapist since 2019.
Welcome! My approach to working with adolescents and adults centers around compassionate interactions to empower individuals to move and grow beyond their current situations. Through the continued development of a strong sense of self, I believe that people possess the skills needed to change their situations. I look forward to sharing my therapeutic philosophy and guiding you to achieve your greatest potential.

In this I am highly driven to assist an individual in advocating for themselves and identifying their positive qualities.

Choosing a therapist for yourself or loved one can be a difficult task. A true "Master" of the healing arts is one who has spent years learning, practicing, and refining their skills as a healer. Individuals, couples and families first entering into the therapeutic relationship often feel overwhelmed, confused, anxious and vulnerable. They need to feel safe by knowing that they are truly being heard and respected. They also need to trust that their therapist has sufficient experience to patiently guide them thru the process of self discovery on their path to wellness and feeling whole, perhaps for the first time in their life.
