Whether it's working through anxiety, depression, trauma, or family dynamics, I am here to support and empower you every step of the way.
I thrive on connecting with my clients and guiding them to achieve their goals. I have a particular interest in working individuals, athletes, performers, and their families and spouses who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unable to perform at their best. My clients often struggle with understanding their emotions and feel suffocated by external pressures. Together, we work on getting out of their heads to perform well both in the game and in life. We focus on healing the inner self, strategizing to overcome mental barriers and challenges, and living life to its fullest potential.

I counsel from a multicultural and trauma-informed lens, using a combination of techniques from TF-CBT, reality therapy, somatic therapy, exposure therapy, and strength-based therapy.
It’s okay not to be okay. Sometimes, life and emotions suck, but it can be more difficult to work through the challenges of everyday life or trauma without support, proper emotion regulation skills, or healthy behaviors and communication being modeled for us. I can be the support you need, by listening and helping you learn skills to manage emotional response, work through anxiety or trauma, and live a better life.

I have a background working with a wide array of clients who experience anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, PTSD, identity exploration, compromised self-esteem, and parenting challenges.
Finding the right therapist can sometimes feel like you're lost at sea. I'm so glad you're here! In the ocean, the tides help sailors to navigate the waters. At High Tide Therapy Services, we help clients navigate their "ocean". The brain can be like an ocean, with emotions coming and going like waves. When you can't seem to find direction past the waves or just feel like diving deeper in your sea, Madison would love to help you navigate.

I specialize in issues related to trauma, adoption, and supporting children and families.
UPDATE as of 9/20/24... I currently am very limited in being able to take on new clients. I have some morning to midday availability but absolutely zero afternoon/evening appts. I appreciate your interest and apologize for any inconvenience this may create. We all struggle in life sometimes and need help! In this day and age it can be hard to find the space to discuss the challenges of life with someone in a safe and genuine way. I enjoy meeting people where they are at in life, without judgement, and helping them sort out their next steps whether they be for improvement, maintenance, or understanding.

Collaboratively, we will work together using trauma resolution and various other therapeutic approaches, to identify healthy goals and equip you with the necessary skills to find relief from your emotional pain and recover from traumatic conditions, and the tools to choose healing.
Life can be full of challenges that may deprive you of your serenity. Are you in need of relief from emotions or relationships that are intense or emotionally painful? Maybe you're constantly in disagreement with your partner, and can't figure out why. Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, difficult memories, disordered eating, or dealing with the impact of a challenging past? Are you in recovery and finding it hard to navigate the challenges of early sobriety, like guilt and shame, or the pressured fear of letting others down? Whatever your stressors, you too can experience peace and live a productive life.

Our founder, Kylie specializes in maternal mental health; working with women who have experienced miscarriages, traumatic births, have difficulty bonding with their child, or experience postpartum depression.
Trauma creates change you do not choose, healing is about creating change you do choose - Rosenthal. Frontline Therapy was born out of a desire to provide accessible, evidence-based treatments, to Auburn's local veterans and emergency responders; with the combined goal of serving anyone who has experienced a trauma. Ever since we opened our doors in the beginning of 2020, we have been committed to excellence because we believe that individuals who have experienced trauma, and those that work on the frontlines deserve 'front of the line' treatment. We also treat depression, anxiety, grief, substance abuse, and relational distress.

I specialize in the areas of addiction, profound grief/bereavement, emotional trauma and Gottman Method Couples Therapy My style is humanistic and person centered, and my affect is candid but mindful.
"You are strong enough to face it all, even if it doesn't feel like it right now" . This quote speaks quite loudly to me because upon reflection, I find that Life has a way of interfering when I am busy doing something else. I have spent the better part of 25 years learning who I am and have willingly and sometimes unwillingly faced harsh realities I would not chose for anyone, much less myself. One of the most important things that has proven to be true for me, is that if I can find meaning in events that shattered my world or at the very least, shook it up, then my understanding and insight increased and I could find peace.

I believe change is hard, and therapy is an endeavor that takes courage, but it's also an opportunity for growth, healing, and moving forward. If you've never been, therapy may appear intimidating, but it's really just a process of identifying areas to work on, developing goals, and then working toward those goals. It's awesome getting to work with people who are ready to start the process of change and experience the emotional, spiritual, and relational growth that happens as a result. Some of the areas I work with clients on are anxiety, depression, trauma, couples therapy, borderline personality disorder, boundaries, and others.

When past memories and daily life are overwhelming, throwing us off balance, we are often left feeling powerless to effect change. Our efforts to protect ourselves from feeling painful emotions can leave us with anxiety, depression, anger, and relational issues, as well as keep us from experiencing the positive emotions we so desperately desire. As a trauma-informed therapist, I address trauma, PTSD, and Complex PTSD using Narrative Focused trauma intervention, EMDR, ART, and MESE. I am also trained as an 'Unwanted Guide' to help people find freedom from unwanted sexual behaviors that lead to shame and self-contempt.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
