When past memories and daily life are overwhelming, throwing us off balance, we are often left feeling powerless to effect change. Our efforts to protect ourselves from feeling painful emotions can leave us with depression, anxiety, anger, and relational issues, as well as keep us from experiencing the positive emotions we so desperately desire. As a trauma-informed therapist, I address acute and past trauma, PTSD, and Complex PTSD using EMDR, ART, MESE, and Narrative Focused trauma intervention. I am also trained as an 'Unwanted Guide' to help people find freedom from unwanted sexual behaviors that lead to shame and self-contempt.
As an empathetic witness, I look forward to holding space with my clients so they no longer have to navigate those hard places alone. Our stories are meant to be told, and I commit to nurturing a safe space where we can unveil inherent strengths and find a positive pathway to healing.
