I specialize in Borderline personality disorder, PTSD/Trauma, and co-occurring challenges. My scope of practice includes LGBTQ+ concerns, couples (nonmonogamy), and mood disorders. A desire to change is often forged in hardships that are overwhelming, painful, and cause suffering. It can be a difficult path to navigate alone. A therapeutic relationship based on trust, open communication, respect, and empathy is fundamental to overcoming struggles. Whether it is during a transition, an acute stressor, or severe mental illness, I provide a supportive, safe, and non-judgmental environment for youth, adults, families, and couples.

You are smart - an accomplished professional others rely upon. You struggle with self-doubt, worry, high expectations and a troublesome inner critic. Who do YOU turn to when you realize you're overwhelmed? You've been coping with life-altering challenges and realize you're stretched too thin and feel tired and ineffective. You've tried traditional therapy and sense it's not quite the right fit. You're curious about working with a coach who's walked her own path of transformation, and knows how to sit with the Unknown calmly, until it opens into something clarifying and bold. Call today - take advantage of a free meet & greet.

Together we sojourn toward self-awareness and compassion for self. Emblematic moments from the past may have become conditioned responses to the present. We focus both on here and now and historical events. TAT (Tapas Acupressure Technique), mindfulness, sensorimotor psychotherapy and EMDR-Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing help re-program stored arousal in the body.

Trauma informed practices integrate Internal Family Systems,Buddhist mindfulness, Transpersonal interventions and healing wisdoms.
We are each gifted... We are each wounded... Nobody escapes the extraordinary challenges of being human. What is it that is precious about my clients? How can they heal and release their unique gifts into this world? My passion is to support your life's imperative to transform injuries, and become fully energized to all that life has to offer. Within our journey lies the revelation of your most empowered Self. I've raised three children in the wilds of Maine and trekked in remote cultures and wildernesses around the world; yet it is within us that lies the greatest wilderness... its adversities, challenges, and wonders to behold.

I am currently full and not accepting new clients. Clinical counseling and coaching services are different and when I have availability, I welcome the opportunity to discuss both services with potential clients (please reach out to be added to my wait list). As people navigate their life journey, they may find themselves caught in reactivity to life's stressors, losing touch with the essence of who and what they are. This can lead to abandoning practices that nourish their body, mind and soul. In session, clients engage in practices which support rediscovering their potential and creating a life of balance and bliss.

I am here for you as a gentle, patient, and empathic presence. We will figure this out together. Over the years I have cultivated my own holistic approach that is caring and inclusive. My scope of healing is larger in order to address the root causes of anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, conflict, and help navigate the intersectionality of the many unhealthy systems we are affected by in our troubled world.

How does transpersonal therapy work?

Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.

How long does transpersonal therapy last?

Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.

Is transpersonal therapy effective?

Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilize the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.

What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?

There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
