My counseling approach is largely based on Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have interests specifically in the areas of grief and loss, marriage and couples’ relational issues, and family of origin issues. I see my role as a counselor as a partner who works with the client to process feelings, find healing, and regain hope. I believe that each client can navigate the challenges and the changes life brings and am committed to helping my clients work toward achieving symptom reduction, more self-awareness, and increased confidence.

Being able to help others has always been a passion of mine. My educational and professional experience has allowed me to create a broad variety of specialties. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Central Florida in 2004. During my stay, I was able to work with specialty organizations that focused on equality and activism for groups such as LGBTQ+, military support, and women's rights. The following year, I was able to dive deeper into the complexities of systems theory while at Nova Southeastern University.

Life is not predictable. Relationships and circumstances change, causing emotional responses which are activated by stress or a feeling of being overwhelmed. Therapy acts as a holding space for those emotional experiences which are sometimes difficult to share. Therapy is a tool that can be used to assist in overcoming or understanding obstacles to growth. I want to share in these emotional experiences with you and offer support and guidance while you navigate through life's transitions.

Our ideal client is someone who's facing persistent challenges with mental health disorders such as depression or anxiety, especially if traditional treatments have not yielded desired results. They are looking for innovative, effective therapeutic options delivered by a compassionate and dedicated team. They want to regain control of their life, experience relief from their symptoms, and start on a path towards improved mental wellbeing. They are motivated, eager for change, and ready to engage in therapies like IV Ketamine and Spravato, known for their potential to make a significant difference in treatment-resistant cases.

Children who may have experienced trauma through abuses, separations, losses or are having trouble adjusting to life now. Assisting clients, caretakers/families with expressing the emotions and thoughts underneath strained relations and stressors, moving towards positive interactions. I encourage self-awareness to improve self confidence thereby promoting growth and empowerment.
