Are you experiencing challenges that are becoming harder to work through as each day passes? Difficulties managing moods, low self esteem, stress and worries can impact many areas of life such as work, school and relationships. Presently specializing in therapy with adolescents and adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, life adjustments, relationship issues, behavioral issues, and experienced trauma. I'm qualified based on my experience working directly with this population and I have received additional training within these areas by undergoing training and supervision with recognized professionals within the field.

Being a woman with ADHD is lonely and confusing, and at times, it can be embarrassing- especially when you're trying to explain it to someone who doesn't get it. You may feel chronically overwhelmed, have trouble with time management and organization, have problems focusing on tasks that are boring or routine in nature, have sensory issues that affect your ability to focus, or feel like you just can't get your life together. As a therapist with ADHD, I get it. Therapy can provide support and guidance, tools for emotional regulation, and a better understanding of subconscious beliefs that perpetuate shame and keep you stuck.

In terms of my treatment approach, my style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I find that most issues that bring individuals to therapy are, at their core, about emotions and relationships. So, I spend a good deal of effort learning about patterns of emotional expression within current and important historical relationships. My approach is to seek immediate reduction of symptoms while creating a treatment pathway to address long-term, underlying problems.

The couples I work with are struggling. At first glance they may seem fine – smiling and happy – but they cannot stop arguing. They know they love their person but they feel so stuck. It HURTS. They long to feel understood, to know that their person is “with them”, and they want to know they are not alone. They want to find a way to make their relationship work but they don’t know where to start.
