I am Professional Clinical Counselor with over 30 years experience. I provide Christian and Mental Health counseling for inividuals, couples and families. I listen carefully to my clients and work closely with them to develop treatment plans that are individualized for them. I am a retired military leader, Nurse and Clinical Counselor. I understand Veteran's issues. I am also retired from the Dayton VA as the former Director of Mental Health nursing. I am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).

New Source Counseling is a unique ministry that provides quality professional counseling founded on Biblical theology and sound psychological principles. I am passionate about providing professional care for others by walking with them through the pain, brokenness, and struggles that life unexpectedly brings. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Addiction Studies from the University of Cincinnati and his Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Ohio State University. He completed an 18-month Gestalt theory and practice training program at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland in 2017. Simon is also trained in Prolonged Exposure Therapy for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. He has previously worked with a large and diverse university student population.

I work with individuals experiencing significant psychological distress due to marital difficulties and other personal challenges. Many of my clients have resorted to addictive behaviors as a means of coping, while some engage in self-harming behaviors, which can also be considered addictive in nature. I decided to become a therapist after a successful academic career as a philosophy professor.
