I am an Operations Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran, serving as a Healthcare Specialist/Combat Medic and Medical Section Sergeant. In addition to personal experience and passion, I have further developed expertise in the treatment of trauma and First Responders and Veterans as a Certified Psychological First Aid Provider by the National Center for Traumatic Stress. I specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, various forms of addiction, autism, & more. I appreciate building an alliance in therapy to create a safe space a client can use to process thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I use a cognitive behavioral approach, or IFS, to help clients find emotional freedom and produce change. I also have training in DBT for emotional regulation and anxiety, and EMDR to treat trauma and emotional distress. A hope I have for clients is to train the brain to live in the "gray" or to walk the middle path. I aim to help clients decrease emotional suffering that living in extremes can cause.

I am Carrie Kroner, a licensed supervising professional clinical counselor. I work with children, adolescents, and adults to learn the skills they need to manage symptoms of anxiety and depression on their own. I truly enjoy guiding others and helping them to grow into the best version of themselves. I use my expertise and experience to tailor our time together to individual needs, whether that means getting on the floor to play a game to help a child feel comfortable, guiding families through productive conversation, or meeting with an individual to let them vent and gently pushing them toward productive discussion.

My ideal client is struggling with some emotional and decisional issues. They have a myriad of conflicting emotions and several options before them. They want to make the best choice with bearable consequences.

This client needs a safe space to explore their life options and the triggers that are causing negative thinking patterns, self-doubt, and low self-confidence.
