In my work, I integrate AEDP to compassionately disarm defenses, unlocking authenticity, DBT to equip you with tools of self-regulation and expression, IFS to cultivate acceptance of all of the complex, sometimes conflicting, parts of you, Narrative Therapy to empower you to re-author your own story, and humor as a powerful antidote to shame.
Breaking through the numbness birthed by life’s tragedies is dirty work. Trauma, stress and grief can cling to you, isolating you from everything you value. I'm a therapist who will get right into the muck and fight alongside you as we break through apathy and discover what zest might be lying underneath, waiting to spring forth. My clients have described me as attuned “I feel so heard in our sessions. Breanna really listens and reflects things back to me in a way that makes me feel less ashamed,” and gently challenging “She lowkey reads me sometimes but she also helps me stay grounded in my values. I need that.”

At Solidarity, one of our main values is community. Through community, we can heal the parts of ourselves that have been rejected and marginalized against. As a queer, trans, neurodivergent, and chronically ill person, I understand what it is like to desire safety, lose connection to your authentic self, and long for a world that will embrace all of you. As someone who "gets it" I offer you the following invitation: Let's rebel together in our own individuality. I believe that therapy creates a space that empowers you to develop community within yourself, the outside world, and encourages you to create a new narrative.

I use dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to build skills for regulation, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to shift unhelpful thought patterns, and internal family systems ( IFS) to work with relational dynamics and parts of self.
I am a culturally aware, kink-aware, LGBTQ+ affirming therapist who truly values diversity of identity and experience. I have experience supporting people navigating childhood trauma, attachment wounds, and relational struggles, whether romantic, platonic, or familial. I’ve had particular success working with individuals living with borderline personality disorder, mood disorders, and treatment-resistant depression, using a trauma-informed lens that meets you with care and curiosity. In therapy, we take time to understand how those experiences might be showing up now and make space to reflect, feel, and choose what to carry forward.

Are you the reliable one, the "doer," the thoughtful one who holds it all together? From the outside, life may look full, even successful. But inside, something feels off: anxiety you can’t explain, burnout, or disconnection. You may be moving through grief/loss, trauma, or a transition—or stuck in patterns that once helped you cope no longer fit. Or, in your relationships, you might find yourselves missing each other despite wanting closeness. Maybe you find yourself wondering: Why do I keep reacting this way? Why does this feel so hard?

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists
What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.
How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.
Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.
How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
