Hello! I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor, licensed marriage and family therapist and co-founder of SureHope Counseling & Training Center. I have a master's degree in Christian counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families and groups. I specialize in counseling couples concerning dating, engagement and marital issues. I offer couple intensives and train other therapists and church staff in working with couples. For many of life’s issues, it is helpful to talk with someone within a nonjudgmental, safe environment. To be listened to and heard in a way that facilitates an understanding of what the underlying origin of the problem is in order to bring about healing. Kimberly uses the psychodynamic approach to counseling as a means to assist clients with understanding themselves more deeply. Serving adults, couples and adolescents, she collaborates with the client to address patterns and behaviors that disrupt wellbeing.

My counseling experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I have provided counseling assistance for various issues including depression, anxiety, adoption, pregnancy, women's issues, parenting skills, pre-marital counseling, and issues related to domestic violence. I have expertise in Christian counseling and can incorporate faith to whatever degree you are comfortable.

My specializations include working with individuals who suffer from anxiety, depressive symptoms, self-esteem/self-worth, work-related issues, relationship conflict, breakups/divorce, familial discord, and issues related to race, culture, gender, and religion. I am certified in trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy and a certified Mental Health First Aid instructor. I offer an array of treatment modalities to meet the client's needs.

I enjoy working with women, teens 16+, and blended families as well as pre-marital, married, and dating couples. I am experienced with adulting, anger management, anxiety, depression, faith and spiritual issues, peer relationships, relationship issues, self-esteem, women issues, work-life balance, and trauma. I welcome those who want to get outside and do Walk & Talk therapy. When mutually agreed, I enjoy integrating Christian principles into the therapy process.
