​My training and education makes me a good fit for individuals, families, and couples experiencing depression, anxiety, self-esteem, family conflict, trauma, grief, life stressors and parenting. Many of my clients tend to be women aged 29 to 55 seeking change in their lives - however, I also enjoy working with men, particularly if they have never done therapy before.

I am Dr. Tracey and here at Healing Connections we provide individual, couple and family therapy to address a wide range of issues. Some of the challenges we can help with include things like depression, anxiety, grief & loss, anger issues, communication problems, couples conflict, parent-child conflict, intimacy and sexual problems, infidelity, trauma and PTSD.

I understand the weight trials can have on one’s shoulders, and you do not have to carry them alone. I have experience working with those who have endured trauma, illness, stress, and the uncertainty life transition can bring. I am devoted to empowering those experiencing anxiety, depression, women’s issues, identity issues, new parenting, communication, and relationship issues. Accepting New Clients. We help adults transcend their painful past of childhood and/or sexual trauma to create healthier parenting connections and interpersonal relationships. I provide couples, family, and/or individual therapy for a variety of issues, and I use Gottman Method Therapy when working with couples.

You may be a survivor of a dysfunctional upbringing and have a strong desire to do better than the examples you were given. You may even find yourself saying: "I know there is more to life than this". You have recognized the need for change but have been unable to break free from cycles of defeat. My joy is empowering young adults and adults to live the life they desire by holding space with them as they journey towards change and redeeming family legacy.

As a therapist since 2015, I believe whole heartedly that true and lasting change comes from looking at the whole system, not just one part. I work with clients to bring about transformation through emotional healing, behavioral change, brain health, spiritual encouragement, and social support. I have completed training in EMDR, a therapy designed to treat trauma and PTSD. I am also specialized in brain health and am a certified brain health coach through the Amen Clinic. My office is a safe space for people of all races, ethnicities, religions, genders, and sexual identities.

I am a licensed clinical social worker/psychotherapist with a psychology degree from Winthrop University in SC and a masters in clinical social work at UNC-Charlotte. Over the last 12 years I have worked in multiple settings including inpatient care, emergency services, group setting, family therapy, and individual sessions .

Steve is a mature and seasoned professional with 26 years experience in both residential and outpatient therapy. He is both pragmatic and compassionate combining evidenced based practices, lifestyle changes,12 step recovery and experiential therapies to empower clients with Substance Use and Mental Health issues in their healing and wellness.
