My ideal client may currently experience mild to moderate mental health symptoms. They are generally stable and interested in committing to living a wholistic, "therapeutic lifestyle". We do talk, but that's not all we do. My clients engage in practical activities outside of the actual therapy session...that's what a therapeutic lifestyle means to me.
I offer brain-centric therapy strategies which means I incorporate brain science into how I view and treat my clients. DBT Informed Girls group
Participants will learn to: Understand, manage and regulate emotions. Tolerate distress and crises without making problems bigger. Maintain satisfying relationships with other by increasing problem solving skills and how to manage differences of opinions. Increase self-awareness, expand their ability to recognize alternative points of view and manage emotional situations. It is 10 weeks of learning and practicing the core DBT skills of mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness.
