I work with children, adolescents and adults struggling with a variety of circumstances including anxiety, depression, life stress, trauma, and adjustment challenges. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches to meet each client's specific needs and concerns. At the Partnership for Trauma Recovery we believe that true healing happens when we find the courage to look at the root of the long standing patterns and difficulties we have. While learning to cope with the daily burdens of these patterns is an important skill, our philosophy is that simply learning to manage only places a bandage on the problem. In order to truly heal we have to look deeper into ourselves and try to determine where these patterns developed.

There are times in life when something is bothering us and we can’t understand why we are perpetually distressed by this situation or event. Why do we keep going over and over the problem only to come to the same conclusion and, yet, still feel unfulfilled? What’s wrong? It helps to share these complex thoughts and feelings with others who can help give new perspective and create meaning where there seems to be none.

I specialize in working with pre-teens, teens and adults experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma and attachment. I also have a great deal of experience supporting individuals through life transitions, relationships, high stress, and difficulties with self-esteem. I have worked in various settings, including in-home, school-based, and outpatient community mental health.

I have been a practicing psychotherapist for 30 years.I have worked in a variety of clinical settings,recently,working for NBC Universal Studios as a psychotherapist and production consultant.
