I have been in the psychotherapy field for over 25 years working with people who stuggle with addictions, infertility, adoption, depression and anxiety. I work with individuals, couples, families and groups. I am down to earth and easy to talk with. I'm an active participant in the cleint's process of self discovery and movement towards health.
I work psychodynamically, that is I facilitate the clients process in gaining insight into his/her behaviors, thoughts and feeling. I am however an active participant in the process, dealing with the here and now. I work relationally and in a humanistic way, valuing the client's struggle and process without judgement.
I have a background in the expressive therapies and I am the mother of two daughters adopted from China. I developed and implemented a service learning course, taking college students and community members to China to work in orphanages.
