My passion is to hold space and help facilitate healing in those who are feeling lost, lonely, or needing support. I collaborate with my adult clients to find healthy perceptions of themselves, explore their culture and intersectionality, and find liberation from their trauma by exploring their experiences with gentle curiosity. We will work together to gain skills, recognize core beliefs, reflect on life experiences as early as childhood, and reach goals!

Samantha completed her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. She has experience working with individuals dealing with numerous psychological illnesses. She has spent the last twenty-two years working at Catholic Charities Older Adult Services in Chicago. Samantha also has experience providing individual, group, couples and family therapy in a private practice setting. She strives to help clients overcome emotional challenges by utilizing evidence-based therapies that are tailored to meet clients’ in individual needs.

Working with clients is my passion. I believe in listening and offering a variety of solutions that are a match for my clients individual needs ,goals, and dreams. I empower my clients thru creating a atmosphere that is safe , and comfortalbe to explore the complexity of both indiviudual and relationship concerns. Traumatic events are painful and often result in wounds that can't be seen. I believe that understanding trauma and how trauma has affected you is the first step in healing from trauma. You don’t have to do this alone. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults – those who have experienced trauma and those who may be struggling with stress, anxiety, or depression. In addition, I also work with families experiencing separation or divorce. My goal is to help families effectively communicate while you try to figure out the emotional, physical, and custodial stressors that often accompany a divorce.

"Unexpressed emotions will never die. They are buried alive and will come forth later in uglier ways." I enjoy working who are struggling to cope, adjust or heal from anxiety, depression, trauma, personality and/or family issues. I use a broad range of theory in practice to address client concerns and moving them into wellness.

I work with adults who are struggling to build the types of relationships they crave. Some of my clients are looking for good friends and community, while others are struggling to find love. Still others find themselves pushing love away, even when it's available. What all of my clients have in common is that they feel anxious, powerless, or hopeless about their situations. Many of my clients are immigrants, and seek a therapist who is sensitive to how cultural factors and (im)migration impact their ability to successfully connect with others. (I also offer immigration evaluations.)
