I am passionate about helping others navigate difficulties within their life while providing support and insights. I enjoy helping my clients reach their goals and discover new things about themselves. I am continuing to learn more and more about my passions within this field. So far I have found that I am particularly passionate about helping those who are experiencing difficulties in or losses of relationships, friendships, family relationships, and more. I am also passionate about helping individual's work through previous childhood hurt.

I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families struggling with communication, financial issues, relational conflict, emotional abuse, anxiety, depression, grief, career decisions, women's issues, spirituality, and self-esteem issues. I am also committed to providing a warm, empathetic environment with the highest level of respect and confidentiality for my clients. I'm also an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and can provide support for aspiring LMFT-A clinicians.

Com’on let’s be honest .... relationships can be stressful! Some of us might decide to suffer in silence, share details with people who don't support us in healthy ways, or even force ourselves to "accommodate" our partner's needs without being poured into. I help people struggling with stress, depression, or anxiety as well as relational conflicts within families and couples. I understand the challenges in getting help to get "unstuck" and realize it takes courage to ask for help. However, if you are like many others, you are likely tired of dealing with the same problems and getting the same results. I also help others who avoid dealing with the problem and are finally ready to begin a new life. Finding the right person to guide you should not be taken lightly.

Investing time to know my clients is essential to me as we are all impacted by family, social, cultural, and economical factors. I feel it is important that clients are given a safe space to share their stories. ​I have worked with children, teens, married couples, parents, and adults with various life situations, including people experiencing homelessness and addiction. I also have a history of working with individuals involved in ministry settings. I am a practical strategist for supporting people through life’s difficulties. As a heartfelt listener I love to help people find hope when they otherwise feel stuck.

I feel I am most helpful when working with clients who have a sense of where they want their lives to go, who acknowledge the obstacles that confront them, and who are willing to form a collaborative relationship with me to address those challenges and apply the principles and practices that will produce the desired outcomes in their lives.

I have many years’ experience working with couples who feel hopeless, distressed, and ready to call it quits. Couples' work often consists of learning to be vulnerable with each other again, expressing feelings and certain needs to feel connected, and co-regulating negative emotions to increase the closeness you once experienced. I hold a Masters and a Ph.D. in counseling psychology and have been licensed as a mental health or professional counselor (LMHC) since 1994. Over the past 25 years, I have worked as an individual counselor with college-aged students and adults in clinical, private practice, and non-profit settings. I also have past experience working as an Indiana University (Indianapolis) associate professor in their undergraduate and graduate counseling and psychology programs.

THERAPY: I hear so much negativity in our field about work with people. But - I am amazed by some of the people that step foot into my office. I am in awe of their ability to smile through pain. I feel blessed that I get to share in their strong, resilience and desire to grow and change. I learn so much from them. I’m also frustrated with societies message that emotions like anger, resentfulness and jealousy are abnormal for us to feel. Sometimes they interfere with other parts of our life. These people that I encounter on a day-to-day basis are amazing, beautiful people. To all of them I say-
