I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who have substance use and/or other mental health disorders (co-occurring disorders). I practice client centered and client driven counseling. I use a variety of approaches with emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also provide supervision to counselors in training to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and/or a Licensed Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC) in the state of Arkansas.

I provide treatment for various mental disorders, including those developed from trauma , infertility and/ or life stressors. My experience in healthcare has enabled success in transforming lives. This is achieved through inner work of individual and family sessions conducted in a tranquil office setting and/or Telehealth.

I am so excited to announce that I have a beautiful new office space. I attended Harding University and graduated with my B.A. in Psychology and my M.S. in Counseling. I have 28 years of experience in the mental health field. I primarily treat adults who are suffering from depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, relationship issues, grief, bipolar disorder, and personality disorder. I also have a certification in grief therapy. I believe that every client I treat deserves respect and has the ability to empower themselves to meet their individual life goals. My working history has made me passionate about helping clients where they are in life, with a special interest in early development. She has significant experience working with teenagers and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and immigration issues in a school-based and outpatient setting. Shelby is also a strong ally to the LGBTQ+ community and has significant experience working with teenagers and young adults who identify as part of this community.
