My experience spans multiple areas of substance addictions and process addictions (e.g. substances, pornography, sex, gambling, eating disorders, co-dependency). I enjoy doing all types of therapy for all different issues to include depression, anxiety, addiction/substance use and abuse, health and wellness, grief, trauma, parental alienation, developmental challenges, autism spectrum disorders, personality disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, codependency, work stress and relationship conflict. I work with people to identify treatment goals and create a treatment regimen that fits their needs which includes psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, behavior modification, interpersonal therapy, sport psychology and coaching.

I am an outside the box thinker that wants to help you see your struggles in a different light and help you be independent in working through all facets of your life and your mental health. I've worked with adults from all different lifestyles and backgrounds and I practice a person-centered approach, knowing that all people are unique beings requiring different approaches, modalities and techniques. The areas of your life that you want to grow take top priority and I want to help you with them. Your mental health is the top priority.

Seeking counseling services is not always easy. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment to assist in the process of psychotherapy. If you need help with psychological trauma of any kind, unresolved grief, PTSD; combat or other related, sexual trauma of any kind, alcohol or drug abuse or need after care services, please call for an appointment. The best results are always achieved when treated sooner rather than later. I also provide DMV and court mandated testing for drivers license reinstatement.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Gilbert Counselors LLC, I draw equally from my professional training and the insights I've gained throughout my 30+ year marriage and experiences raising two now-grown children. I have extensive training working with individuals who struggle with a range of anxiety symptoms, and diagnoses especially trauma. In my years of practice, I have noticed that many clients lack trust in themselves and the ability to find a positive sense of self. People just want to understand themselves and become more comfortable with how they handle daily life stressors and others. To achieve this goal individuals need support with recognizing triggers and utilizing appropriate coping skills to reduce the negative responses to those triggers.
