I love counseling work with adults, adolescents, children (5 y/o+), and couples. Walking along with those experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship issues, low self-esteem, unwanted pornography habits, and spiritual concerns. I believe clients are unique in what they need from therapy. I tailor my work to the individual and integrate different approaches as they are helpful, including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, attachment theory, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness.

Haven is a practice that desires to meet the mental health and relational needs of our community, with a particular focus on serving those looking for faith-sensitive services, where belief can be openly integrated into the therapeutic process as clients may desire. My ambition is to provide counsel/therapy and guidance to individuals, couples, and/or families who are dealing with issues that affect them mentally, emotionally, physically, and/or spiritually. I like to help clients determine why they are experiencing their life challenges and develop goals and actions to resolve the issues they are facing. I specialize in working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I also work with clients who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, adjustment struggles, and grief. The techniques I most often use are rooted in CBT, The Gottman Method, and Family Systems.

I have been helping others: Special needs, Relational, Behavioral, A&D, Elderly, and Children as a C.N.A., Foster mother, Care giver, Activity Director, and as a Therapist during my adult life. I have 10 grandchildren, and 4 are special needs children. I have several years experience providing Couples/Marriage, Family, and Behavioral and Mental therapy; and am eclectic in my use of modalities. I am an author with Good News and multiple other psychology sites. Heal and Hope Counseling Services, LLC have 3-5 counselors of diverse backgrounds, cultures, languages, and specialties!!! I am a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS-S) and approved supervisor, seeing patients in person and via telehealth. I offer individual, family, and group therapy at my practice. Dr. Stephen "David" Hall is the clinic director and co-owner of Haven Counseling Center. Dr. Hall has a particular interest in music, movies, art, and stories in general, and tries to use the theory and craft of story as a way to help the people he works with find new ways to see their lives and possible solutions.

I have many years of experience working with foster children/families, and 13 years working in a Christ-centered faith-based substance abuse rehabilitation program. I am very passionate about helping my clients recover from past traumatic experiences that have created long-lasting effects upon themselves and their relationships with others.
