With seven locations in Havertown, King of Prussia, North Wales, Philadelphia, Sinking Spring, Springfield, and West Chester as well as flexible scheduling options, we are able to offer appointments during the daytime, evening and weekends for your convenience. Sometimes life can present us with challenges and there are times when we need extra support to assist us through those challenges. Therapy is one way to receive that extra support. Choosing a therapist can be difficult, but it is an important decision. I believe one of the most important factors involved in therapy is the therapeutic relationship. I work with my clients to develop that relationship by listening to each client's individual needs and circumstances. I work collaboratively with my clients to assist them in achieving their goals and leading the life they want.

With over 30 years experience, I am a child & adult psyciatrist practicing primarily psychotherapy, addressing a full range of issues from emotional strains, anxiety, depression and trauma, to developmental issues including gender development, autistic spectrum and psychosis. I am former Chair of the Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Training Program at the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia. Since the time of COVID and with the myriad of changes in our world, lives become unsettled at home, work, in our families and our personal relationships. I work with children, adults, couples, families, parents and infants.

Every client and therapist pairing is different. Not every pairing will fit as well as others and the goal of every therapeutic relationship is for the therapist to act as a competent and supportive guide in navigating each client's map of unique challenges in life. I believe that the most important aspect of the relationship is the ability to be honest about the process--what works will differ for everyone. I aim to tailor treatment to each client so that he or she leaves the office feeling heard, understood and confident about the therapeutic journey.

I have been treating marital issues and anger issues in Ardmore since 1983. In the three decades I have been treating clients I have always kept abreast of the very latest and most effective methods for helping my clients. Much of my success in working with children has come from my ability to effectively establish a strong therapeutic relationship. I work collaterally with families to help address a child's needs, without violating the trust or the boundaries we have established.
