Hi there my name is Laura. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Pennsylvania. I received my Masters from Marywood University and have been practicing for 6 years. I specialize in treating anxiety disorders, ADHD, womens issues, self-esteem, and trauma. I am best positioned to serve teens, young adults, and middle age adults. My ideal clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about their life and decisions related to it.

I help adults work toward the specific mental health goals they set for themselves, focusing on subjective experiences of the world, and building on individual strengths to develop new skills. I have extensive experience working with graduate students and professionals coping with stress, as well as occupational transitions. As an adopted person, my 30 plus years' experience using inner child work, researching, and supporting fellow adopted persons and mothers of adoption loss has given me a unique insight into the struggles of adoption, the primal wound, reunion preparation, reunion difficulties, and the impact of early childhood trauma. I am the author of five adoption related books, three of which have been translated into Chinese, German and Korean.
