Greetings! I am Dr. Keana Fairfax, LCSW. My Ideal clients may face challenges such as healing from trauma, including childhood sexual abuse or racial exclusion. Mental health challenges like depression, anxiety, or PTSD may also exist. They require a safe space for healing, culturally competent support, and empowerment. Their goals may include processing repressed trauma, building confidence, developing coping and distraction strategies, improving emotional communication and trust, and relationship building. Tailoring care to these complex needs can pave the way toward a balanced and fulfilling life.
My clinical practice is centered on providing compassionate and integrative mental health care that takes a holistic approach and utilizes neuroscience. I prioritize creating a supportive and validating environment that considers the impact that race, culture, and other identities can have on mental health.
I strongly believe in establishing a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients. I bring my true self to the therapeutic relationship and aim to be empathetic, sincere, and open with my clients. This creates a secure and caring environment where they feel comfortable sharing their experiences and difficulties.
