Rosevelt Nwokeji RN, MSN, PMHNP-BC is a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with Safe Harbor Psychiatry in Newbury MA. Prior to graduating with his NP degree from MGH Institute of Health Professions Rosevelt worked as a psychiatric registered nurse in a variety of settings: adult day programs, Mcclean Hospital on alcohol and drug detox unit to name a few. In addition to his work with Safe Harbor Psychiatry, Rosevelt also works for for the Department of Mental Health in an inpatient psychiatric forensic hospital treating extremely high acuity patients struggling with mood and psychotic disorders.

I work with adolescents and adults who are dealing with mental health issues such as anxiety disorders, depression and bipolar mood disorders, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). My career has been focused primarily around reproductive mental health and wellbeing and providing psychiatric treatment to individuals during preconception planning, pregnancy and postpartum periods.

I am a social worker and a nurse who has been in the field of behavioral health for much of my 20 + year career. I have worked in acute care inpatient psychiatric settings, the emergency department performing crisis evals as well as medical settings as an RN throughout several hospitals on the north shore.
