I am a Harvard-trained psychiatrist for children, adolescents and adults. I am an expert in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation and second opinions for complex cases, including when families are contemplating higher levels of care like residential treatment. My approach is to be collaborative and curious in working with individuals and families to craft individualized and comprehensive treatment approaches. This may involve managing medications, providing individual, family or group therapy or a combination of these options. I am comfortable working with individuals with complex psychiatric backgrounds.

I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. As an RN, I worked in triage and the inpatient bipolar and schizophrenia unit at McLean Hospital. I have previous experience working as a psychiatric NP in community mental health, forensic, inpatient, and outpatient settings. My professional interests include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and adverse childhood experiences.

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and received my training from MGH Institute of Health Professions, which included induction into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

My goal is geared towards establishing an environment centered on trust and meaning for all patients from all backgrounds. As a lead nurse practitioner during the pandemic times of isolation, quarantine, and minimal social events, I observed and treated the immediate, short-term impacts of COVID-19 and grew an interest in understanding the long-term mental health impacts of the pandemic, especially among marginalized groups of people.

I'm a psychiatric nurse practitioner, offering consultation, medication management and therapy in downtown Northampton. I care about what makes us unique, as well as what we have in common. My interests include anxiety disorders like panic and OCD, as well as people on the autism spectrum or with social or learning differences. I'm delighted to work with LGBTQ clients or those in gender transition. I'm a believer in trauma -sensitive care, trained in DBT and in mindfulness. I graduated Yale Medical School in 2010, completed four years of psychiatry training in 2014 at the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Training program, and am board-certified in psychiatry. David has extensive clinical experience in diagnosis and medication management, including complex cases with multiple overlapping psychiatric diagnoses, dual diagnosis, and co-occurring medical problems.

My treatment focus begins with a comprehensive evaluation with the explicit goal of making an accurate clinical diagnosis. A treatment plan that will address the underlying problem/s as well as the specific symptoms of the patient is then formulated. I use Psychopharmacology (medication management) and/or Psychotherapy to treat my patients - depending upon the condition and the your individual preference.
